Lectures

In 2014, I finished a preliminary set of lecture notes for superconducting quantum circuits and Quantum Optics. These notes were very simple and not really proofread, but formed the basis for my lectures in Benasque and in Innsbruck.

Since then, these notes have evolved into a complete book that is currently published by Cambridge University Press. This book covers the basics of superconductivity theory, the theory of superconducting circuits, the design and operation of superconducting resonators and of superconducting qubits, their interplay in quantum optics and circuit-QED models, and the combination of all these elements to build functional quantum computers and quantum simulators (or quantum annealers).
